Using inline docker file with podman compose

When I use a inline Dockerfile with a sample compose file, I see the they are not recogonised. The podman is using a Dockerfile from the same directory if-any and builds it. Is the intentional or bug ? If a bug happy to raise an issue for the same.

This looks like Podman does not understand the dockerfile_inline syntax on the API side, I would guess. Are you using docker-compose to process the file or podman-compose?

I encountered this issue using podman compose.

podman-compose of podman compose?
podman-compose executes podman commands under the covers.
podman compose executes docker compose and talks to the podman socket.

podman compose is a wrapper around either docker-compose or podman-compose which are separate projects, not part of podman. If you are using podman-compose, you should go to that project to ask for the feature.
