The user changes a dropdown from "in progress" to "done", they should get a way to add a comment on why that's been done.

Maybe add that entry in the collaboration feature?

My initial thought:

The user changes a dropdown from "in progress" to "done"

This action generates an audit entry.

From there, adding collaboration to the audit entry should enable the possibility of adding comments on changes, which is awesome!

I'm not yet sure how to display it in an organized way, but this was my first idea on how to piece together Avo components to achieve this request.

Another possible solution that just occurred to me is using threads. If we enable threads on entries, each user, after making a change, can open a thread on that entry and comment on it.

The current working solution is to immediately comment on the change: "I just changed … because …" which honestly isn't that bad. I'm not entirely sure we should overcomplicate this.
