bug: can't import from packages to apps

Anything created in dir packages which contains most of the screens that are being shared do not work with Intellisense when importing inside dir expo or next.
Surely a monorepo should be able to share the tsconfig.json properly and make the intellisense work.
I know a vscode plugin exists for making these screens but doesn't seem like a good use case to be handed off to a plugin to handle which is also exclusive to a specific code editor.
